In the body of the email submission, do you want the following in the order given…
Bio, word count, name & email

    Thanks!

    • August 11th, 2009 at 05:53 | #13

The order is irrelevant as long as the email is clean and concise. Please include you email, name, and word count, but at this point the the bio is unnecessary though we will ask for it if your story is selected so you might as well send it.

Is this an international contests…..or only confined to us and canadian residents only? Do I need to be 18 yrs to enter?

    • August 17th, 2009 at 14:42 | #17

Writers from any country may submit stories, but they must be in English. You can be any age. Since we are publishing it in a free magazine we don’t need guardian consent for the release of your work since no money is being made from the publication of the story. We will judge your story based on the merits of the story itself and nothing else.

Does the writer retain the copyright of the stories that are submitted?

    • August 17th, 2009 at 18:09 | #19

We hold printing rights up until the publication of the magazine at which point all rights revert back to author. Also, we would like to post your stories to our site to display the winners with your consent.

Is it confined to the short stories only or something else like travelogues/one’s experience of life could be touched upon as well?

    Hello Judah,

I would like to enter my short story in this contest, however it was published not in my blog but in a community web portal though my byline is under the title, would that be valid?
